Welcome to the training site for the NG DetecTool
The NG DetecTool: An innovative device for the rapid detection
of broad-spectrum beta-lactamases
Who is this training for?
The NG DetecTool is designed to assist facilities where rapid detection can/should be used to provide patients with a more targeted, efficient and cost-saving treatment regimen. These facilities include intensive care units, surgical units, patient admission units, clinical microbiology laboratories, and nursing homes.
We highly recommend this course for staff at these types of facilities, including clinicians, clinical microbiologists, laboratory assistants, as well as any other potential device users.
This training course is intended for individual online study, as well as for group training in a lab setting. In the latter case organising a hands-on training with the device is also suggested.
What does this course offer?
This online course will lead you through
- practical introduction to using the NG DetecTool in a laboratory setting
- the key concepts behind the theory of Beta-lactamases (ESBL and Carbapenemases) detection
- a test to verify your understanding of the practical knowledge required for using the NG DetecTool
- Are you a healthcare professional and want to learn more about the device? Find useful information at our AMR Knowledge Portal
